To make things worse, Nami’s decision to join Arlong’s crew in the live-action feels less organic. As if she willingly chose to work for him, rather than being coerced by circumstances. Originally she made the pact to protect the people of Cocoyashi from Arlong’s tyranny.

3. Nami Live Action Can’t Capture Her Strategic Skills
The anime’s Nami, while skilled, is often seen relying on her wit and Clima-Tact. She grows into a formidable fighter over time. However, the live-action Nami is a warrior from the start, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and wielding her Clima-Tact with deadly precision, including lightning strikes and powerful wind gusts. While the other is a more aggressive fighter, combining her weather powers with hand-to-hand combat. She’s shown to be physically stronger and more agile, often engaging in close-quarters combat. Her foxy personality completely removes the point of Nami One Piece’s Quick-witted and Cunning persona.

Sadly, we witnessed the significant change in the tattoo on Nami’s Arm. Originally, the tattoo symbolized Genzo And Bellemere. Both were close to her as close as parents when she was young and were the utmost important figures of her past. The LA completely overlooked that and received criticism from the corresponding audience who were daunted by this heinous fact.
